Arrived in Asia

I arrived today in southern Asia with five hundred others having spent three days and nights on a ship. The trip was fine and I brought some study material with me as well as my own coffee and French Press.

It seems like 50 % of the passengers brought their own form of entertainment. I saw dozens of personal laptops playing movies and games. Dozens of my fellow travelers also had PSP players or IPods. I used my IPod a lot but mostly to drown out the constant playing of movies on the ships dvd broadcast throughout the ship.

We arrived early in the afternoon but some didn't get into their rooms until midnight. Its amazing how so much time is lost on occasions like this. I'm fairly tired and look forward to a good night's sleep after three nights of sleeping on the floor.

Underway One Last Time

We've been in Asia for over two years and we've enjoyed our time a lot. Before we head back to the states, I get one last chance to do some traveling. I'll be leaving soon with many of my co-workers to a destination in southern Asia. It will also be the farthest south I've ever traveled.

I look forward to one last opportunity to support the men and women God has placed in my life but I am also ready to start the process of getting my family back to the States.

We have a web page that has a place for updates and in truth I could use that space to accomplish the same thing.  However, in theory I should be able to do more things with this space than I can there.

Therefore, I begin my efforts as a blogger during my favorite month of the year.
